The StageLine is Naim's outboard phono stage, shown here in its moving magnet (MM) version. It takes the turntable signal on a pair of RCA inputs and amplifies it before the preamplifier or integrated amplifier. Naim quotes a gain of 35 dB at 1 kHz for the N version.
The StageLine has no power supply of its own and needs 24 V from another Naim component. This can come from a NaimUniti 2, a NAIT XS 2 or XS 3, a SUPERNAIT 2 or 3, a Hi-Cap DR or a Naim preamplifier, except the NAC-N 172 XS and NAC-N 272. The dedicated FlatCap XS, HiCap and SuperCap power supplies are also suitable.
On the back, the left and right RCA inputs sit either side of a ground terminal for the turntable earth lead. The signal leaves through two DIN sockets towards the Naim electronics. The case measures 121 mm wide, 187 mm deep and 57 mm high.
