The PP 2e provides a low-noise gain stage for both moving-magnet (MM) and moving-coil (MC) cartridges, chosen with a selector on the back. It gives 35 dB of gain in MM and 60 dB in MC at 1 kHz. Its RIAA equalisation, accurate to ±0.3 dB, keeps the tonal balance true from record to record.
A gentle infrasonic filter reduces rumble and unwanted very low-frequency movement. Vinyl playback stays smooth and stable. The signal-to-noise ratio reaches 80 dB in MM and 78 dB in MC, A-weighted with the cartridge connected.
The external 24-volt power supply contributes to quiet, consistent operation. Gold-plated input sockets ensure a secure electrical connection with the turntable cable. The line-level output connects to the input of any modern amplifier or receiver.
At 13.5 cm wide and 4.9 cm high, the PP 2e fits beside the turntable without needing an extra shelf. Auto Power Down switches it to standby when it is not in use. An LED shows when it is powered on.
