Eight 26.5 AWG conductors

The Clear Beyond Phono X2 doubles the cross-section of the Clear Beyond Phono: eight 26.5 AWG Matched Propagation conductors instead of four. Cardas previously called it the Clear Beyond Dual Phono. The outer diameter is 13 mm under multiple shields.

SRCA RCA plugs

On the preamp side, the only standard termination is the Cardas SRCA RCA plug. The Grade 1 OFHC copper strands, 99.9999% pure, range from 47 to 39 AWG. Each cable is terminated by hand in Bandon, Oregon.

S-DIN connector

On the turntable side, the X2 starts from a Cardas S-DIN connector. It first appeared for a tonearm with a 5-pin DIN socket, shown at the High End show in Munich.

Angled R-DIN as an option

The angled R-DIN connector is not the standard termination: Cardas fits it to order. The 90° angled DIN for SME tonearms is also among the made-to-order options.
