Suspension inherited from the Clear Beyond

The Clear Cygnus Phono takes over the air-tube suspension developed for the Clear Beyond. Its four star-quad conductors sit in antistatic LDPE tubes, and PTFE tubes 1.618 times larger hold the shield away from the signal. The outer diameter is 9.76 mm.

GRMO RCA plugs

On the preamp side, the standard termination is the Cardas GRMO RCA plug. It terminates Matched Propagation Grade 1 OFHC copper conductors, 99.9999% pure, of 4 x 25.5 AWG in total. The cable is also available RCA to RCA.

S-DIN connector

On the turntable side, the standard cable starts from a straight Cardas S-DIN connector, for tonearms with a DIN output. Cardas describes a detailed sound, entirely without harshness, with a very solid bass. Each cable is hand-soldered in Bandon, Oregon.

Angled R-DIN as an option

The angled R-DIN connector is not the standard termination: Cardas fits it to order. The 90° angled DIN for SME tonearms is also among the made-to-order options.
