The Iridium Phono is made in an S-DIN-E to Cardas RCA version, for tonearms with a DIN output. Four 24.5 AWG star-quad conductors are protected by a hybrid shield, a tinned copper spiral and a carbon-loaded PTFE tape. Each cable is hand-soldered in Bandon, Oregon.
The second version connects the turntable to the phono preamp with RCA to RCA. The Grade 1 OFHC copper conductors, 99.9999% pure, run under a very flexible 7.62 mm TPR jacket. Cardas describes a warm, rich sound that keeps its balance and detail.
