Moving coil phono stage

This phono stage is dedicated to moving coil cartridges and arrives preset at the factory for Rega MC models. Total harmonic distortion stands at 0.03%. Frequency response runs from 17.5 Hz at -3 dB up to 100 kHz at -0.2 dB.

Adjustable input loadings

Four resistive loadings are offered: 70, 100, 150 and 400 Ω. Two capacitive loadings complete the setting, at 1000 and 4300 pF. Gain is chosen between 69.3 dB and 63.5 dB at 1 kHz.

Aura MC reference circuit

The schematic carries over that of the Aura MC, the brand's Reference phono stage. RIAA curve accuracy stays better than ±0.2 dB from 65 Hz to 70 kHz, into an output load of 100 kΩ. Rega recommends the high gain setting for its own moving coil cartridges.

Half-width aluminium case

The aluminium case adopts a half-width format, that is 220 × 80 × 330 mm for 2.9 kg. Automatic standby brings consumption down to 0.4 W, against 20 W in operation. The lifetime warranty covers manufacturing defects.
