The Clear Digital links a transport or streamer to a DAC over the coaxial S/PDIF connection, at 75 ohms. It uses the Matched Propagation conductors, Cardas' most accomplished, and measures 8.89 mm in diameter under its very flexible TPR jacket. Cardas describes it as the most neutral, most detailed and most revealing coaxial cable it has produced.
The Clear Digital is fitted as standard with Cardas SRCA RCA plugs, or with BNC for inputs of that type. Every cable is terminated by hand in Bandon, Oregon.
A single 25.5 AWG conductor runs into the SRCA plug, built around a Kevlar core. Its ultra-fine strands of Grade 1 oxygen-free copper, 99.9999% pure, range from 41 to 39 AWG, carry an SPN enamel and are insulated in extruded PTFE. Antistatic LDPE air tubes, held by a PTFE tape, surround them.
