All-in-one compact hi-fi system combining a CD player, HEOS streaming, a DAB+ tuner and an MM phono input. The HDMI eARC socket routes the TV sound through its 2 x 65 W amplification.

The MCR 60n DAB combines a 2 x 65 W amplifier into 4 ohms, a CD player and a network player in a 28 cm wide enclosure. Its digital converter has been upgraded and the whole unit was tuned by ear by the Marantz Sound Master. The drive plays audio CDs, CD-R and CD-RW discs as well as burned MP3 and WMA files.
A turntable fitted with an MM cartridge plugs straight into the rear panel, with no external preamplifier. The phono input has a sensitivity of 2.5 mV into 47 kilohms and a signal-to-noise ratio of 74 dB. An analogue input, an optical input and a rear USB-A port complete the connections.
The HDMI eARC socket connects the television and sends its sound through the amplifier, with the volume controlled from the TV remote. The unit can also switch itself on as soon as a signal reaches the optical input. A subwoofer output reinforces the low end for films and games.
The built-in HEOS platform gives access to Spotify Connect, TIDAL, Deezer, Amazon Music, Qobuz and internet radio over Wi-Fi or Ethernet. AirPlay 2, Bluetooth and Roon Ready certification complete the streaming, up to 384 kHz and DSD 11.2 MHz. The DAB, DAB+ and FM tuner receives broadcast radio, and the A and B speaker outputs with separate volume power a second room.
