OPTICON 2 MK2, three-quarter view, Tobacco Oak finish

6.5-inch Woofer

The OPTICON 2 MK2 carries a 6.5-inch bass/mid driver and the 29 mm soft dome of the series. Response reaches down to 59 Hz at plus or minus 3 dB and the bass reflex tuning sits at 46 Hz. The two-way crossover sits at 2000 Hz.

Dome Derived from the CALLISTO

The 29 mm soft dome takes the light diaphragm of the CALLISTO C. It distorts less, takes more power and works lower than a conventional dome, which allows a crossover at 2000 Hz rather than higher.

Dual Flare Port

The Dual Flare port is flared at both ends to cut turbulence. Sensitivity is 86.5 dB, maximum output 107 dB at one metre and power handling 30 to 150 W into 4 ohms.

Thirty-Five Centimetres

The cabinet measures 351 x 195 x 297 mm and weighs 7.7 kg. DALI advises 10 to 80 cm from the rear wall, on a stand or a shelf. Connection is single wire.
