OPTICON 1 MK2, three-quarter view, Tobacco Oak finish

29 mm Soft Dome

The OPTICON 1 MK2 uses the light 29 mm soft dome derived from the CALLISTO C. Its lower mass lets it reach further down than an ordinary dome and take more power. The two-way crossover sits at 3000 Hz.

Dual Flare Port

The Dual Flare ports of the series flare at the entry as well as the exit, which limits turbulence when the woofer works hard. Tuning sits at 60 Hz and response reaches down to 62 Hz at plus or minus 3 dB, from a cabinet 261 mm tall.

SMC Motor

The magnet system of the 4.75-inch woofer uses Soft Magnetic Compound. Its high permeability and low conductivity limit eddy currents in the pole piece, and with them the hysteresis and the distortion that follows.

Close to the Wall

DALI gives a rear wall distance of 2 to 80 cm: the speaker takes being placed near a boundary. It measures 261 x 152 x 231 mm for 4.6 kg, sits on a stand, a shelf or a wall, and takes 25 to 100 W into 4 ohms.
