Clarity Cone and SMC Motor

The 6.5-inch bass/mid driver of the RUBIKORE 2 uses a Clarity Cone diaphragm and a double-magnet SMC motor, both handed down from the KORE. Soft Magnetic Compound cuts the distortion an ordinary steel pole piece produces. Response reaches down to 50 Hz at plus or minus 3 dB.

Ferrofluid-Free Soft Dome

The 29 mm soft dome works without ferrofluid in the magnet gap. The fluid damps but also slows, and leaving it out makes the treble easier to follow at low level. The crossover sits at 2800 Hz and uses Mundorf capacitors and SMC-KORE inductors.

Continuous Flare Port

The bass reflex port flares continuously along its whole length, which limits turbulence and chuffing when the woofer works hard. Maximum output is 107 dB at one metre, for a sensitivity of 87 dB and a nominal impedance of 4 ohms.

Thirty-Five Centimetres

The cabinet measures 350 x 195 x 335 mm and weighs 9.5 kg with its grille. DALI advises 20 to 120 cm from the rear wall, on a stand or a shelf. Power handling runs from 40 to 150 W.
