The 705 S3 carries the Tweeter-on-Top on a bookshelf cabinet. It is the most ambitious two-way of the 700 Series, built for demanding near-field listening.
The 25 mm carbon dome tweeter sits in a solid body placed on top of the cabinet. This mechanical decoupling keeps cabinet vibration away from the dome. The grille is left off so dispersion stays free.
The driver complement is a 165 mm Continuum bass-midrange cone. The Continuum cone holds the midrange and the bass without hardening voices. The middle register stays legible at every listening level.
The braced cabinet and the dimpled Flowport control the bass down to 50 Hz. Sensitivity 88 dB, recommended amplifier power 30 to 120 W. Three finishes are available: Gloss Black, Satin White and Mocha.
