DALI SONIK 3 bookshelf speaker, 7-inch woofer, 29 mm soft dome and bass reflex tuned to 46 Hz.

The SONIK 3 fits a 7-inch bass-mid driver into a cabinet 350 mm tall and 200 mm wide. Response reaches down to 47 Hz at plus or minus 3 dB, which few bookshelf speakers manage. Maximum output is quoted at 108 dB at one metre.
The diaphragm mixes paper and wood fibre, stiff without turning brittle, and the motor uses SMC to hold distortion down. The two-way crossover sits at 2300 Hz, handing over to the 29 mm soft dome. Sensitivity is 87 dB for 2.83 V at one metre.
The rear port is tuned to 46 Hz and the speaker connects by single wire on one terminal pair. Nominal impedance is 6 ohms and the cabinet takes 25 to 150 W. An integrated amplifier of ordinary power drives it without strain.
DALI recommends 5 to 50 cm between the speaker and the rear wall, on a stand or a shelf. Each cabinet weighs 6.5 kg with its grille and is 306 mm deep. Four finishes are available: white, black ash, natural oak and walnut.
