The handle of the Elfin Flip Laser doubles as a stand. It pivots up to 150° and tilts the lens towards the wall or ceiling, with no wedge or tripod. Folded down, it protects the lens, and it is also how you carry the projector's 1.38 kg from room to room.
Three red, green and blue lasers light a 0.23-inch DLP chip at 1920 x 1080. The source reaches 1600 ISO lumens, covers 110% of the BT.2020 space and achieves a dynamic contrast of 10,000:1 in Vivid mode. With a throw ratio of 1.2:1, the image ranges from 40 to 200 inches, with XGIMI recommending 60 to 120 inches to keep full sharpness.
Google TV runs on an MT9660 processor with 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Netflix is built in from the start, with no app to install before the first film. Sound comes from a 7 W Harman Kardon speaker compatible with Dolby Digital Plus, and the HDMI eARC input takes a games console or a player.
When switched on, the Elfin Flip Laser focuses itself and corrects keystone continuously, as long as the side angle stays below 25°. Alignment assistance starts from a QR code: you move the image from your phone, then the projector fits its four edges to the screen frame. In operation, noise stays below 28 dB measured at 1 m.
