The Edge 7i heads the Edge series. It stands out for deeper bass extension, with a usable range reaching down to 39 Hz at ±10 dB. It handles 75 W continuous over 100 hours and 150 W peak, at 4 ohms, and measures 450 × 345 × 36 mm for 1.8 kg.
The Edge 7i replaces a small section of plasterboard and is finished like tapered-edge board. Once taped, filled, sanded and given a thin coat of fine finishing compound, it is painted with the wall or ceiling and disappears. It can also go into an existing skim-coated wall as a retrofit, but must not be fully plastered over. Its raised 0.7 mm ridge acts as a stop bead for the plaster.
Amina's proprietary exciters rely on Optidrive, Opti-damping and Reduced Resonance Exciter technologies, combined with the ToneRelief panel design. The Edge series aims for a warm, balanced tonality. Dispersion covers 180° × 180°, sensitivity reaches 86 dB at 1 m / 2.83 Vrms and response runs from 58 Hz to 14.7 kHz at -6 dB.
The Edge 7i mounts in an Amina CV345 backbox, or with Mounting Blocks. Wiring uses blue butt-splice crimp terminals for 14 to 16 AWG cable. In-line protection comes from a Guardian 2, 8 or 16 unit. It can be supplied with a 100/70 V transformer for high-impedance installations.
