Versatile Mobius panel

The Mobius 5i suits most residential and high-end commercial projects, up to mid-power multi-channel surround. It goes into a wall or ceiling, or into cabinetry and millwork. The panel measures 450 × 345 × 30.7 mm, weighs 1.4 kg and handles 50 W continuous over 100 hours, 100 W peak.

Invisible under plaster

Once fitted, the Mobius 5i is covered with a 2 mm plaster skim and painted with the rest of the wall or ceiling. It can also sit behind wood, leather, slate or marble. No grille or cut-out remains visible in the room.

Optidrive and Opti-damping exciters

The panel is driven by Amina's proprietary transducers, with Optidrive, Opti-damping and Reduced Resonance Exciter technologies. Dispersion covers 180° × 180° across the specified range, so the sound stays even from one end of the room to the other. Sensitivity reaches 83 dB at 1 m / 2.83 Vrms and response runs from 68 Hz to 22.8 kHz at -6 dB.

Backbox and Guardian protection

The Mobius 5i mounts in an Amina CV345 or SW345 backbox, or with Mounting Blocks or the Tab Mounting Kit. Wiring uses blue butt-splice crimp terminals for 14 to 16 AWG cable. In-line protection comes from a Guardian 2, 8 or 16 unit. It can be supplied with a 100/70 V transformer for high-impedance installations.
