Five Channels for Cinema

The RX-V4A is a 5.2-channel AV receiver. Each channel delivers 115 watts into 6 ohms (1 kHz, one channel driven) and 80 watts in stereo from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. That power drives a complete 5.1 surround system, with two subwoofer outputs to spread the bass through the room.

8K and 4K120 Video

Four inputs and one HDMI output pass 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz, with 24 Gbit/s of bandwidth. HDMI eARC sends the television sound back to the amplifier, and Dolby Vision support preserves the dynamics of HDR images on compatible televisions and projectors.

MusicCast on the Network

Dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth open up online music services and wireless playback. The MusicCast platform links the unit to the other Yamaha speakers and systems in the house, for multiroom playback or a wireless surround extension to rear speakers.

YPAO Calibration

The YPAO system measures the acoustic response of the room with a supplied microphone, then adjusts the level and distance of each speaker. Decoding handles the Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD Master Audio formats of Blu-ray discs and streaming platforms.
