Seven amplifiers deliver 95 W per channel into 8 ohms and 125 W into 6 ohms at 1 kHz. Denon holds more than 70 % of rated power with five channels driven simultaneously. When the soundtrack moves from stereo to surround, dialogue stays clear.
Processing on 7.1 channels and two subwoofer outputs cover a 7.2 system or a 5.2.2 Dolby Atmos setup with height speakers. An installation can start as 5.2 and take more speakers later. DTS:X and DTS Neural:X complement Dolby Atmos.
The supplied microphone serves Audyssey MultEQ XT, which measures each speaker and adjusts level, delay and balance to the room. Dynamic EQ and Dynamic Volume complete the calibration. For finer correction, the unit accepts the Dirac Live Room Correction upgrade.
Six HDMI inputs and two outputs accept 4K and 8K, with Dolby Vision and upscaling of HD sources. Gamers get 4K at 120 Hz, VRR, ALLM and AMD FreeSync. HEOS Built-in and Spotify Connect stream music throughout the home, and a preamp output serves a second zone.
