The RX-300A lines up five amplifier channels in a 5.2 layout. It delivers 70 W per channel into 8 ohms from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, two channels driven, at 0.09 per cent distortion. With one channel driven, power rises to 145 W into 6 ohms.
The unit decodes Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS. Seven sound modes are on hand, among them Pure Direct, Straight and Night. Room correction tunes the system to the acoustics of the room.
The rear carries four HDMI inputs and one output, all HDMI 2.1. It passes 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz, with eARC, VRR, ALLM and QMS. Two RCA inputs, one optical, one coaxial, two subwoofer outputs and five speaker terminals complete the panel.
The remote control, the measurement microphone and its stand come with the unit. Bluetooth 5.3 handles multipoint. The chassis measures 434 x 157 x 319 mm and weighs 7.6 kg.
