The MRX SLM 4K measures 27.9 cm square and 3.8 cm high, and weighs 3 kg. Its aluminium chassis with a machined faceplate slips behind a television, inside a cabinet or in the wall. A mounting bracket is supplied to fix it to a surface, and it takes 1U in a rack. Five amplifiers deliver 50 W per channel into 8 Ω.
The MRX SLM 4K has one HDMI 2.0b input and one HDMI 2.0b output, the output supporting eARC for the television's sound. It accepts 4K at 60 Hz and Dolby Vision. It decodes Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and IMAX Enhanced, for a 5.1 configuration. An optical input and a 3.5 mm analogue input complete the connections.
The MRX SLM 4K connects to the network over Wi-Fi or Ethernet. It supports Apple AirPlay, Google Chromecast Audio, Bluetooth and Spotify Connect from a smartphone or tablet. Two antennas handle the wireless link. Control drivers exist for Control4, Crestron, RTI, ELAN, URC and Savant.
ARC Genesis measures each speaker's output relative to the listening area, then adjusts the signal through a series of calculations. It corrects peaks and dips in the frequency response while preserving the beneficial acoustic qualities of the room. Calibration starts with the click of a button, with advanced settings to refine the sound.
