Eleven amplifiers deliver 140 W per channel into 8 Ω for channels 1 to 5, and 60 W for the remaining channels. Into 6 Ω, the figures rise to 170 W and 75 W. Measurements are taken at 1 % distortion with two channels driven. Typical power consumption under load is 570 W.
ARC Genesis measures the room with a redesigned, more accurate calibration microphone and optimises the frequency response. Four profiles can be stored. The Anthem web interface lets you switch on zone 2, adjust the volume, change the audio mode and tweak channel levels from a phone, a tablet or a computer.
The MRX 1140 8K relies on 32-bit, 768 kHz digital-to-analogue converters. It processes up to 15.2 channels and decodes Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and IMAX Enhanced, for a maximum configuration of 9.2.6. FLAC, ALAC, WAV and DSD files are played back in high resolution.
Seven HDMI 2.1 inputs accept 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz, with HDCP 2.3. Two main HDMI outputs, one of them eARC, are joined by an HDMI output for zone 2. The speaker terminals cover FR, FL, C, SR, SL, BR, BL, WR, WL, H1R, H1L, H2R and H2L, with two independent subwoofer outputs. VRR, ALLM and QFT are supported for gaming.
