The KW2 RX receives the radio signal from the XIO soundbar and transmits it to the subwoofer on which it is fixed. The cable between the bar and the box disappears, and the box is where the acoustics of the room demand. The link carries up to 15 meters in direct line since the Xio.
Four connection sheets ensure the transmission between the sound bar and the box. The module attaches to the back of the active caissons KEF, including KC62, KC92, KF92 and the Kube range. A screw set is provided for installation.
An output combined with 3.5 mm and optical TosLink makes it possible to connect a subwoofer of another mark. The module feeds by the supplied USB-C cable. A hood masks the supposed remaining cards when direct mounting is not used.
The module is 72 x 37 x 31 mm for 50 grams and is forgotten behind the box. It transmits in 2.4 GHz with a resolution of 24 bits / 48 kHz, a 20 Hz response to 20 kHz and a latency of 57 ms. The signal / noise ratio exceeds 80 dB for distortion of less than 0.2%.
