The Power Box RS2 Phono powers both the turntable and the phono preamplifier. It is compatible with every Pro-Ject Phono Box and every 15 V DC Pro-Ject turntable. The power supply is part of the audio path and has a clear influence on sound quality.
This linear supply is built around an audio-grade toroidal transformer with copper foil shielding that isolates the components from mains interference. Its power reserve far exceeds that of a standard wall adapter. A soft-start system prevents inrush current at switch-on.
The turntable output supplies 15 V / 2 A and the preamp output ± 18 V / 2 A, with ± 0.5% ripple. The 10,000 μF filtration capacity and low-ESR capacitors ensure a low output impedance. Connect it Power cables of 1 m are included.
Mains input is through an IEC C15 socket at 230 V / 50 Hz. The full aluminium case measures 20.6 cm wide, 7.1 cm high and 20.9 cm deep, weighs 3.1 kg and comes in silver or black. The Power Box RS2 Phono is made in Europe.
