The Power Box S3 Phono is a power filter for the turntable and the phono preamplifier. By placing the power supply outside the components, it prevents noise from contaminating the audio signal. Linear voltage regulation and low-ESR capacitors deliver stable, clean power.
It has a 15 V output for Pro-Ject turntables powered at 15 V DC and an 18 V output for 18 V Phono Box preamplifiers. Together the two outputs supply up to 1000 mA, within ± 0.5%. One unit therefore replaces two wall adapters and tidies up the cabling.
It suits Pro-Ject 15 V DC turntables, except the X8, Xtension 9, 10 and 12, RPM 9 and 10, and Signature 10 and 12. For these models, Pro-Ject recommends the Power Box RS2 Phono or the Power Box RS Uni TT.
The rigid aluminium case protects against interference and comes in silver or black. The box contains a 42 cm power cable for the turntable and phono preamp, plus the 18 V / 1000 mA input power supply. The unit weighs 370 g.
