Built-in Wi-Fi gives access to Apple AirPlay 2, Google Cast, lossless Spotify Connect and DTS Play-Fi. Music starts from a phone or a computer, at up to 24-bit / 96 kHz. Bluetooth 4.2 is still on hand, with AAC and SBC codecs.
The HDMI ARC input connects the pair to the television with a single cable, and an optical input takes other digital sources. A subwoofer output lets you extend the bass. The supplied remote control lets you operate the speakers from the sofa.
A turntable with an MM cartridge plugs straight into the back, with no external phono preamp. The RCA analogue input takes a CD player or another line-level source. The speakers power up on every input except phono and select the active input.
Each speaker pairs a 1 inch soft dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet and a 5 inch bass driver with a custom two-layer cone. The 4 x 80 W Class D amplification follows a fully digital signal path, for a response from 40 to 20,000 Hz within ± 3 dB. The MDF cabinet measures 27 cm high, 16.5 cm wide and 23 cm deep.
