Rinaro Oval Planar Driver

The Empyrean features an oval-shaped Rinaro Isodynamic Hybrid planar driver, measuring 102 x 73 mm per earbud. Its two-zone diaphragm separates bass reproduction from midrange and treble reproduction, which are positioned directly in front of the ear canal, ensuring reproduction without unwanted resonance between the two frequency ranges.

CNC-machined aluminum chassis

The metal frame is CNC-machined from a solid block of aluminum, combined with a carbon-fiber headband and an omega-shaped leather pad that distributes weight across the entire surface of the head rather than at a single point.

Two sets of ear pads included

Two pairs of ear pads are included—one in leather and one in Alcantara—to adjust the sound balance according to listening preferences. Total harmonic distortion remains very low across a frequency range of 4 Hz to 110 kHz, with an impedance of 31.6 ohms and a sensitivity of 100 dB SPL/mW at 1 kHz.

Cable and aluminum carrying case

A 3-meter OFC cable with 4-pin mini-XLR connectors on both ends, terminated with a 6.35 mm jack, is included along with an aluminum carrying case. The headphones, which are fully disassemblable, consist of 16 hand-assembled parts.
