Solid mahogany body

The GS1000 features a solid mahogany cabinet, a material central to the history of Grado. Mahogany provides warmth, harmonic richness, and natural resonance—contributing to an organic and open sound. The wood is crafted and assembled in our Brooklyn workshops.

50 mm X2 Driver

The 50 mm X2 driver features a Mylar diaphragm, a copper voice coil, and a rare-earth magnet system. Frequency response: 8 Hz to 35 kHz; sensitivity: 99.8 dB/mW at 38 Ω. The large diaphragm allows for smooth bass extension without any perceptible strain.

G Ear Pads, Wide Soundstage

The GS1000 comes with “Grado” G-pads. Their geometry positions the driver farther from the ear, expanding the perceived width and depth of the soundstage. Changing the ear pads subtly alters the tonal balance and comfort.

Signature Silver Cable

The GS1000 comes with the lightweight and flexible Signature Silver cable. The Signature Gold headband features engraved aluminum alloy gimbals and stainless steel rods for long-term structural stability. Hand-assembled in Brooklyn, New York.
