Cocobolo and Aluminum Housing

The GS3000 combines an outer case made of cocobolo—a dense exotic wood—with an inner insert made of machined aluminum. The cocobolo provides natural resonance and tonal depth; the aluminum controls internal resonance and maintains clarity. Each piece of cocobolo features a unique grain pattern.

52 mm X2 Driver

The 52 mm X2 driver uses a Mylar diaphragm, a copper voice coil, and a rare-earth magnet system. The large diaphragm area moves more air, extending the bass response. The frequency response ranges from 4 Hz to 51 kHz, with a sensitivity of 99.8 dB/mW at 38 Ω.

Signature Gold Headband

The GS3000 features the Signature Gold headband—engraved aluminum alloy gimbals, stainless steel rods, and reinforced junction blocks. The wider headband improves weight distribution. An internal spring adjusts the clamping pressure.

G Ear Pads, Gold Cable

Included with the G ear pads—the largest in the Grado catalog—the GS3000 positions the driver at a comfortable distance from the ear, widening the perceived soundstage. The Gold cable supports the dynamics of the 52 mm driver. Hand-assembled in Brooklyn workshops.
