The S550 features a 50 mm dynamic driver: frequency response from 6 Hz to 44 kHz, sensitivity of 112 dB/mW, and impedance of 38 Ω. The large diaphragm area allows for effortless bass extension. The drivers are factory-matched to within 0.05 dB.

Detachable Silver Cable

The S550 comes with the Signature Silver cable—a flexible, braided cable with a 3.5 mm connector and a included 6.35 mm adapter. The connection to the housing via a balanced 4-pin mini XLR allows for the use of additional cablesGrado, depending on your system configuration.

Interchangeable B Ear Pads

The S550 comes standard with B ear pads, but is also compatible with the S, F, L, and G models from Grado. Each ear pad subtly alters the tonal balance and soundstage—G ear pads widen the soundstage, while S ear pads narrow the presentation.
