The Unveiled grille

The HE1000 Unveiled removes the grille that covered the driver on earlier HE1000 models. The rear wave leaves with no metal barrier in front of it, which cuts reflections and opens the soundstage. The headphone breathes more than the full-grille versions.

Nanometre-thickness diaphragm

The HE1000 membrane is among the thinnest ever made, on the nanometre scale. Its tiny mass follows transients without delay and holds the treble up to 65 kHz. The bass reaches down to 8 Hz without losing its shape.

Stealth magnets

The Stealth magnets use a profile that lets the wave pass without turbulence in front of the membrane. Distortion drops, and the sound image gets cleaner. This is the open, detailed signature of the HE1000 series.

Easy to drive

With 28 Ω impedance and 95 dB sensitivity, the HE1000 Unveiled runs from a reasonable headphone amp, desktop or portable. Its 450 g stay held by a headband that spreads the weight. The headphone aims at long listening at home.
