On the Ananda Unveiled, HiFiMan removes the grille that covered the driver on earlier Ananda models. The diaphragm's rear wave leaves without a metal barrier in front of it, which limits the reflections that blur the soundstage. The sound opens up, and instruments hold their place around your head.

The driver is built around the second-generation NEO Supernano Diaphragm, a membrane just nanometres thick. Its very low mass lets it react to the smallest transient, without lagging on the attack of percussion or strings. The treble keeps its detail where a heavier membrane rounds the edges off.

A reinforced magnet array surrounds the diaphragm and drives a stronger field across its whole surface. That firmer grip disciplines the membrane's motion and lowers distortion in the bass and midrange alike. The headphone holds its line even when the track fills up with information.

The second-generation headband spreads the weight across the skull instead of concentrating it on one point. With the open over-ear design, it lets the ears breathe through long sessions. The Ananda Unveiled sits for hours without reminding you it is there.
