The MM-100 pairs Audeze's planar magnetic transducers with the expertise of sound engineer and producer Manny Marroquin. Its transducers are tuned for the precision required in production. Each unit is individually assembled and tested in Southern California.
The 90 mm drivers rest on an ultra-thin Uniforce diaphragm, N50 neodymium magnets in a Fluxor array and Fazor phase management. Frequency response covers 20 Hz to 25 kHz with total harmonic distortion below 0.1% at 100 dB SPL, for a precise rendering at every listening level.
The magnesium, aluminium and steel housing stays light despite its careful construction. The gel-filled leather ear pads and the adjustable headband spread the pressure over the whole listening time, in the studio as well as at the office.
The MM-100 is supplied with a braided cable ending in a 6.3 mm plug, a 6.3 to 3.5 mm adapter and a storage pouch. The cable connects on either the right or left side of the headphones, depending on the listening setup.
