Reworked all-in-one amp

The MaiA DS3, short for My audio integrated Amplifier, is the reworked version of Pro-Ject's compact all-in-one amplifier. It delivers 2 x 80 W into 8 ohms and 2 x 140 W into 4 ohms. All the electronics sit in a machined aluminium case that shields them from interference.

Nine inputs to choose from

The phono stage accepts MM, MI or MC cartridges, with 40 or 60 dB of gain, and three RCA line inputs take analogue sources. The DAC section offers one coaxial, two optical and one USB input, up to 192 kHz/24-bit PCM and DSD256. Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD completes the connections.

Headphones, outputs and trigger

The headphone output delivers 2 x 430 mW into 32 ohms. Variable RCA outputs take a subwoofer or a second amplifier, and a fixed output feeds a recorder. A 12 V trigger input and output synchronises switching on.

The MaiA DS3 is handmade in Europe. It measures 20.6 x 7.1 x 24 cm, 25.2 cm including sockets, and weighs 1.85 kg. It comes in black or silver, with a remote control.
