The larger S3 case

The MaiA S3 keeps Pro-Ject's all-in-one amplifier concept with a reworked circuit and the new S3 case. Being larger, this case allowed an improved circuit board layout against electromagnetic interference. The unit delivers 2 x 23 W into 8 ohms and 2 x 40 W into 4 ohms.

Eight inputs, eight sources

The phono stage accepts MM, MI or high-output MC cartridges, and three RCA line inputs take a tuner or any other analogue source. The Cirrus Logic CS4344 24-bit/192 kHz DAC handles one coaxial and two optical inputs. Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD streams music from a smartphone in high definition.

Headphones and subwoofer

The 6.3 mm headphone jack accepts headphones from 16 to 600 ohms. Speakers connect with 4 mm banana plugs, spades or bare wire. A variable RCA output lets you add a subwoofer, and the remote control is included.
