Entering the North Collection

This bundle pairs the MOON 641 integrated amplifier with the MOON 681 network player and converter. The two units form the foundation of the North Collection. They share the same 48.1 centimetre width.

Integrated amplifier and its volume dial

The 641 for amplification

The 641 delivers 125 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 250 watts into 4 ohms, with a damping factor of 700. Its dual mono MDCA architecture separates the channels right down to the power supply. The M-VOL3 gain control acts without a variable resistor in the audio path.

Network player and converter in operation

The 681 as source

The 681 offers six digital inputs and an HDMI input with ARC for television sound. Its MDE-1 conversion shows a dynamic range and a signal-to-noise ratio of 125 dB. The MiND 2 module handles network playback.

Displays and remote

Each unit carries a 4.3-inch colour graphic display. The MOONLink connection synchronises standby and commands between the two. The BRM-1 smart remote, with its dial and OLED screen, drives the set over Bluetooth.
