Built-in amplifier and network server Aurender Ap20. Purified modules in double mono, AKM4497 converter and analog volume control R2R.

The AP20 brings a network server, a converter and power amplification into a single chassis. The Purifi modules, arranged in dual mono, deliver 200 W into 8 ohms and 350 W into 4 ohms. Only the speakers remain to be connected.
Volume is set by an R2R relay attenuator, from -64 to 0 decibels. The signal therefore stays in the analogue domain. An AKM4497 converter in dual mono precedes it.
One XLR input and two RCA inputs take an analogue source directly, without conversion. On the digital side the unit accepts an RCA coaxial, a BNC coaxial and two optical inputs. An external clock input allows the system to be synchronised.
The fully linear supply spreads six toroidal transformers across the processor, the converters, the logic board and the power stages. A supercapacitor reserve protects the unit against a mains cut. Consumption during playback stays at 47 watts.
