The M12 adopts the Directdigital ESS Saber architecture with a 35-bit processing accuracy (24-bit coefficients, 62 bits accumulation). This technology preserves the dynamic shades throughout the digital processing chain.

The M12 accepts digital sources AES / EBU, coaxial, optical and USB up to 24 bits / 192 kHz. The built-in phono mm / mc input covers vinyl listening without external preamp.

The M12 is designed around the Modular Design Construction (MDC) system of NAD : Interchangeable input modules make it possible to evolve into new formats without replacing the device. MQA compatibility is included.

The M12 offers symmetrical XLR outputs and RCA, with a Class A exit buffer. A second-order crossover filter (high pass + low pass, selectable frequency) makes it easy to integrate a subwoofer.
