Five-input preamplifier

The ULTIMA PRE 3 gathers five inputs, two of them balanced stereo XLR and three unbalanced stereo RCA. A further XLR input serves as a bypass for an AV installation. Gain is unity.

Outputs and impedances

The unit outputs on one XLR pair and one RCA pair, usable together. Input impedance is 100 kilohms and output impedance 560 ohms. A 12 V trigger socket works as both input and output, and a USB type A port supplies 5 V for charging.

Quoted measurements

Total harmonic distortion is quoted at 0.002% from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Signal-to-noise ratio reaches 105 dB on all inputs and channel separation 100 dB. Frequency response covers 10 Hz to 200 kHz within plus or minus 3 dB.
