Thirty ULTIMA watts

The Suzi Amp carries the company's ULTIMA amplifier topology in a much reduced chassis. It delivers 30 W per channel into 8 ohms. Total harmonic distortion is quoted at 0.01% and signal-to-noise ratio at −116 dB.

Inputs and outputs

The unit takes two RCA input pairs, one of them reserved for the Hugo 2. Power leaves through one pair of 4 mm banana sockets. A 12 V DC output links it to other Chord devices, and the mains input accepts 80 to 250 V.

Removable cover block

The solid aluminium cover lifts away to expose the connections that take a Suzi Pre or a Hugo 2 directly. The 3.5 mm and 6.35 mm headphone outputs then become active. Two polychromatic front-panel buttons handle power and AV bypass.
