The R-N800A delivers 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms, from 20 Hz to 20 kHz at 0.07 per cent distortion. Dynamic power reaches 140 watts into 8 ohms and 290 watts into 2 ohms. Bandwidth runs from 10 Hz to 100 kHz.
The ToP-ART construction lays the left and right circuits out symmetrically. Pure Direct mode bypasses the tone controls and lifts the signal-to-noise ratio to 100 dB on the CD input. Standby consumption drops to 0.1 watt.
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and AirPlay 2 are built in, together with the MusicCast multiroom platform. MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, FLAC, AIFF and DSD files are played. An Ethernet socket completes the network connection.
The rear carries a phono input, a CD input and two line inputs, plus two optical and two coaxial inputs. A USB type-B converter takes a computer. A pre-out and a subwoofer output complete the panel.
