The R-N600A delivers 80 watts per channel into 8 ohms (20 Hz-20 kHz, 0.07 % THD), with dynamic power reaching 175 watts into 2 ohms. The discrete ToP-ART construction and the Pure Direct mode shorten the signal path to preserve the purity of the sound.
The MusicCast platform links the R-N600A to the other Yamaha speakers and systems in the house for multiroom playback. Dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and AirPlay 2 open up streaming services and wireless playback; MP3, WAV, FLAC, AIFF and DSD files are supported.
The MM phono input takes a turntable directly, alongside the CD and line inputs, two optical and two coaxial inputs, a USB port and a subwoofer pre-out. The headphone output and the Ethernet socket complete a panel designed for a hi-fi system that can grow.
The built-in DAB+/FM tuner receives digital and analogue radio. With a 100 dB signal-to-noise ratio on the CD input and 0.2 watt of network standby consumption, the R-N600A combines high-fidelity listening with frugal operation in a connected stereo chassis.
