The MOON 430HA is the brand's new benchmark among headphone amplifiers.
The 430HA is a fully analogue, balanced headphone amplifier. Its transconductance topology is paired with gain switchable to 14 or 20 dB. It delivers 667 milliwatts into 600 ohms and up to 8 watts into 50 ohms, enough to drive practically any headphone.
The unit takes over several technologies from the brand's higher series, including the four-stage M-LoVo regulation and the M-eVOL2 volume control. The latter offers 530 volume steps with channel balance within 0.1 dB. A Crossfeed function makes headphone listening more natural.
The front panel carries a four-pin XLR connector, hidden behind a sliding window, as well as a 6.35 mm jack output. At the back, a pair of three-pin XLR outputs completes the set. Two pairs of RCA outputs, one fixed and one variable, can drive an amplifier.
A balanced XLR input, two RCA inputs and a mini-jack are available. An asynchronous digital-to-analogue converter can be added as an option, with four digital inputs. It then handles native DSD256 over USB and PCM up to 384 kHz at 32 bits.
