The front panel offers an unbalanced 6.35 mm jack, along with a 4.4 mm Pentaconn socket and a 4-pin XLR, both balanced. The amplifier delivers 1.5 W RMS per channel into 16 Ω and suits headphones from 16 Ω upwards.
A 5-inch colour LCD display, four buttons and a volume dial with proximity sensor equip the unit; the display can be switched off for listening in the dark. The Zigbee remote is supplied, and the Focal & Naim app controls the unit from iOS or Android.
At the rear, a stereo XLR preamp output and an RCA output for a subwoofer or preamplifier take it beyond headphone listening. Two optical TOSLINK inputs at 24-bit/96 kHz, one coaxial RCA at 24-bit/192 kHz and a stereo RCA pair accept other sources. Two USB 2.0 Type A ports complete the connections.
AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL, Qobuz, Roon Ready, UPnP, internet radio and Bluetooth are built in. WAV files play up to 32-bit/384 kHz and DSD at 64 and 128 Fs. Networking runs over 10/100 Ethernet or 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and Party Mode syncs up to six Naim streamers.
