The Serenade converts the signal with a HYMALAYA PRO R2R DAC, a discrete resistor ladder rather than a delta-sigma chip. This kind of conversion aims for a composed sound, with no hardness in the treble. The converter feeds the built-in headphone stage directly.

Built-in WiFi streaming

The Wireless version receives music by a high-speed WiFi link, with no computer or network player in front of it. The source comes down to the app and the unit. The Serenade reads the streams and converts them in a single device.
