Heir to the Clear cable

The Clear Headphone brings the construction of the Cardas Clear speaker cable to headphones. Left and right run in two insulated cables, in dual mono. The Matched Propagation conductors in Grade 1 Litz copper, 99.9999% pure, add up to 8 x 26.5 AWG around a Kevlar core.

Balanced or unbalanced

The Clear Headphone can be fitted balanced, as here with XLR, or unbalanced. Its twisted pairs are surrounded by LDPE air tubes, and PTFE tubes 1.618 times larger hold the 42 AWG tinned copper shield away from the signal. The outer diameter is 4.31 mm.

On the amplifier side, the standard termination is the Cardas 6.35 mm stereo jack. It plugs into the headphone output of an amplifier or a player. Other plugs are available on request from Cardas.
