Audeze ear pads for the LCD-5 replace the original pair with the same soft leather and contoured foam. The leather withstands the headphone's daily wear without stiffening over time. The foam follows the shape of the ear and cushions the pressure points that cause fatigue after several hours of listening.
The pad's tapered profile spreads pressure over a wider surface than a straight pad. This shape closes the gap between the ear and the driver, reduces air leaks and limits parasitic resonances. The result: more precise sound reproduction and comfort that holds up over a long session, without a single compression point.
This ear pad is cut and sized for the LCD-5 only: the diameter, the foam thickness and the fixing point do not match any other headphone in the LCD range. A pad from another Audeze model does not fit correctly and alters the acoustic seal. The pair is sold as a single set, left and right.
Each ear pad arrives with its fixing adhesive already applied at the factory. Replacement is done by hand, without glue or tools, in a few minutes. The box contains one complete pair, ready to fit onto both earcups of the LCD-5.
