Wireless Xbox gaming headset with 90 mm planar driver, ANC up to 35 dB, Bluetooth 5.3, 40 h battery life.
The Maxwell 2 ANC pairs the 90 mm planar magnetic driver inherited from the Maxwell 2, with an N50 neodymium Fluxor magnet array and an ultra-thin Uniforce diaphragm, with aviation-grade active noise cancelling, a first for Audeze on a planar headset. This cancellation cuts up to 35 dB of ambient noise, with a transparency mode to stay aware of your surroundings without removing the headset. Frequency response spans 10 Hz to 50 kHz, with harmonic distortion below 0.1% at 100 dB.
The Maxwell 2 ANC's new memory-foam earpads spread pressure around the ear rather than concentrating it on the jaw, a point that matters by the third hour of play. The wide, ventilated headband limits heat build-up, while the closed circumaural shell encloses the ear to isolate room noise without squeezing. The headset weighs 560 g.
The Maxwell 2 ANC's wireless USB-C dongle delivers audio up to 24 bit/96 kHz with ultra-low latency, designed for the Xbox version of the headset. Bluetooth 5.3 takes over on the move and handles multipoint pairing, LE Audio and LDAC to switch to a phone without unplugging the console. Two dedicated 1.4 W balanced-output amplifiers drive the transducers, and a wired USB-C connection plus a 3.5 mm TRRS jack remain available as a backup when the headset's battery is flat.
The 1800 mAh lithium-polymer battery lasts 40 hours with ANC off and 35 hours with ANC on, with fast charging that restores 25% of battery life in 20 minutes. The included detachable boom mic pairs with FILTER technology, which strips background noise from your voice by AI at the press of a button, keeping the team audible during a noisy raid. The Audeze app for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android centralises ANC, EQ and mic settings without going through a console menu.
