Dual ES9219C DAC with two independent clocks

The R3 II runs two ES9219C chips, one per channel, each fed by its own clock. Splitting left and right this way cuts crosstalk and jitter, the two things that blur sound on micro players. Transients hold together and voices stay clean up to DSD256.

4.4 mm balanced headphone output

340 mW from the 4.4 mm balanced output

The 4.4 mm balanced output puts out up to 340 mW into 32 ohms. That drives demanding headphones most players this size leave underpowered. The 3.5 mm single-ended jack stays on hand for sensitive earphones.
