The 2160BH outputs 2 × 160 W on 70 or 100 V line. It differs from the 2160BL in this way: the BH drives distributed lines with multiple speakers; the BL drives wired speakers. The rest of the chassis and features are identical.
Dynamic EQ lifts the bass when volume drops. At low levels—the normal operating range for background music in a restaurant—the low end stays present instead of disappearing, without raising the overall level.
Bose recommends this model for FreeSpace, DesignMax, and EdgeMax speakers up to 8-inch formats. Beyond that, the power reserve per zone becomes the limiting factor, and a PowerSpace amplifier takes over.
Power consumption reaches 500 W maximum and drops to 13.6 W in standby. This matters for sizing the UPS on a secure rack, where multiple amplifiers share the same backup supply.
