The CI 8-150 DSP V2 delivers 150 W per channel into 8 ohms on all eight channels driven simultaneously, as rated under NAD's Full Disclosure Power standard. Its Hypex nCore output stages, at the heart of the HybridDigital amplification, supply high current and stay stable into 4 as well as 8 ohms. It suits large rooms, high-end loudspeakers and home cinema installations.
Channels can be bridged in pairs to give four channels of 280 W into 8 ohms, enough to drive in-wall subwoofers. Peak and RMS limiters, together with delay and phase control, protect the drivers in this use. Long cable runs and difficult loads are handled with ease.
The Ethernet port gives access to a web interface with a real-time dashboard, diagnostics and a virtual input and output panel. The DSP offers a 5-band parametric equaliser, high-pass and low-pass filters and settings made zone by zone. Crestron, Control4, Elan and RTI systems handle source switching through dedicated drivers.
The chassis takes up two rack units and is cooled by thermostatic fans that draw air in at the front and exhaust it at the back. Units can therefore be stacked without ventilation gaps. Zone Sleep mode switches off unused channels, and power-up works by signal sensing, 12 V trigger or IR command.
